Consistency is the best approach

My services are best suited for long-term math learning, so working together for at least a month with meetings 1-3 times/week is best (depending on the needs of the student and family - tutoring and private math class options available). This work is a true passion for me and I am honored to be a part of supporting the success of your child. Choosing to work with me is an investment in your child’s future experiences in math and in school. To achieve goals, and out of respect for everyone involved, prioritizing consistency is important. Rescheduling, cancellations and other policies will be sent to parents via email.

Tutoring: 3rd Grade - Precalculus
60-minute sessions, Remote or In-Person

Math Tutoring Individualized sessions include strengthening conceptual understanding of current school work, on-the-spot lessons to fill in gaps, building number sense, homework support, math-specific study skills, critical thinking, understanding the why and developing other skills for independent learning in math. Integrated math curricula also supported.

Group tutoring: For up to 3 students, this enhanced tutoring experience teaches students how to collaborate with each other, asking critical-thinking questions as they share their thought processes out loud. Beyond math, friends learn skills to enhance their own study sessions and prepare them for college-level learning. Students create their own groups for this option.

Remote option: Done in the convenience and comfort of your own home, I use dynamic online tools made for teaching math to engage students and enhance mathematical learning.

In-person option: Denver-area residents who prefer to meet in person, have sessions in a cozy, in-home space walking distance from Chavez Park and Tennyson Street shops.

Calculus Tutoring & SAT Test Preparation

Calculus Calculus is a challenging subject and requires in-depth understanding of conceptual ideas, meticulous attention paid to to details and tying previous mathematical ideas to new ones to make important connections. Tutoring includes strengthening conceptual understanding of current school work and homework, on-the-spot lessons to fill in gaps, math-specific study skills and critical thinking practices related to Calculus. Remote or in-person tutoring available. Group tutoring shared with up to 3 students also available.

SAT Test Prep Using your preferred SAT prep materials or ones I can recommend, we work together to practice problems and learn SAT test-taking strategies to prepare for the math portion of the SAT. Students will gain insight into how to interpret math SAT problems and gain an edge for taking this important test. On-the-spot lessons will be provided to fill in conceptual gaps in learning. Remote or in-person tutoring available. Families are responsible for the cost of any SAT program test preparation materials.
